Apps

Register applications against your cluster, manage domains, and track deployments.

What is an app?

An app in Aureus represents a deployable workload — a web service, API, background worker, or any other containerised application. Each app is registered against a specific cluster and inherits that cluster's resources.

The Apps list

Go to Dashboard → Apps to see every app on your account. Each row shows the app's name, tech stack, cluster, its *.aureus.cx subdomain (if enabled), and a rough uptime indicator.

Creating an app

Click Register app (or the button in the top-right of the Apps page) and fill in the form:

  • Cluster — pick which cluster to run the app on. The selector shows remaining slot capacity so you can't exceed your tier's limit.
  • Tech stack — choose the closest match (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, Rust, PHP, Java, Static, Docker). Aureus pre-fills sensible build and start commands based on your choice.
  • Repository & branch — the Git URL and branch Aureus will build from.
  • Build & start commands — edit the pre-filled values if your project uses a custom setup.

Once created, a unique slug (and therefore subdomain) is automatically generated.

App detail page

Click any app to open its detail view. You'll see:

  • Live status badge (running / stopped / deploying).
  • Uptime, deploy count, and last deployed timestamp.
  • A snapshot of cluster resource usage (CPU, Memory, Disk) at the time of the last metrics poll.
  • An event log timeline showing recent deployments, restarts, and alerts.
  • Your app's public URL — either the Aureus subdomain or a custom domain.

Editing an app

From the detail page, click Edit to update the app's name, repository, build commands, slug, or custom domain. You can also toggle the Aureus managed domain on or off here. The Danger Zone at the bottom of the edit page lets you permanently delete the app — this action requires you to type the app's name to confirm.

Slot limits

Each cluster tier includes a fixed number of app slots: Cluster S = 2, Cluster M = 5, Cluster L = unlimited. If a cluster is full, the "Register app" button is replaced by a warning. To run more apps, add a new cluster or upgrade your tier.
