What is a cluster?
A cluster is a dedicated bare metal server (or a group of servers) provisioned exclusively for your account. Unlike cloud VMs, there is no noisy-neighbour effect — you get the full physical hardware and the full network allocation.
The Clusters list
Go to Dashboard → Clusters to see all clusters on your account. Each card shows the cluster name, tier, status badge (Provisioning / Active / Suspended), and IP address once assigned.
Cluster status
- Provisioning — your order is received and we're setting up the hardware. We'll notify you when it's ready.
- Active — the cluster is live and your apps are running.
- Suspended — the cluster has been paused, typically due to a billing issue. Contact support to reactivate.
Cluster detail page
Click a cluster to open the full detail view. This page shows:
- Hardware specs (CPU cores, RAM, storage) appropriate to the tier.
- Live animated resource graphs (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network) — these are simulated until the cluster is fully connected to Aureus telemetry.
- App slot usage — how many apps are currently registered vs. the tier's limit, with a visual progress bar.
- A list of applications deployed to this cluster.
- Connection details (IP address, SSH info) populated once your cluster is provisioned.
Cluster settings (gear icon)
In the top-right corner of the cluster detail page is a gear icon that opens a slide-over settings panel. From here you can:
- Rename the cluster.
- Read the connection information (IP, region, provisioned date).
- Add internal notes visible only to your team.
Changes are saved with the Save changes button. Unsaved edits are tracked and you'll be warned before navigating away.
Adding a cluster
Click Add cluster, choose a tier (S, M, or L), give it a name, and submit. After creation you'll be redirected to Billing to subscribe. Once payment is confirmed, the Aureus team provisions your server and sets the IP address.
