The Platform

Built for engineers who refuse to settle.

Every decision we have made — the hardware, the architecture, the access model — exists to serve one goal: giving exceptional developers an exceptional environment.

Built to scale deliberately

Your infrastructure grows with your product. From early traction to production scale — no platform ceilings, no degraded performance as load increases.

Bare Metal

No hypervisors. No shared neighbors. Pure, dedicated hardware — the kind of raw performance that VPS providers can only promise.

Private Clusters

Your workloads run in isolated, private Kubernetes clusters. Not a shared pool — your own environment, your own rules.

By Invitation Only

Aureus is not a product you can buy. Admission is limited to teams whose work benefits from direct operational attention. Membership is curated, not purchased.

Zero Latency Architecture

Multi-region edge routing ensures your applications respond at the speed of light, regardless of where your users are located.

High-availability SLA

Contractual uptime backed by redundant hardware, automatic failover, and 24/7 monitoring. Reliability treated as a baseline, not a selling point.

Our Story

“The best developers in the world should never lose a single hour to infrastructure that wasn't built for them.”

Why we built Aureus

We spent a decade watching exceptional engineers — people who built products used by millions — wrestle with VPS providers that oversold capacity, platforms that traded control for convenience, and DevOps consultants who billed by the hour and disappeared when things broke at 3am.

We believed something different was possible. A private infrastructure company where every member is known, every stack is understood, and every deployment is treated like it matters — because it does.

What we stand for

Aureus is not a hosting marketplace. It is a commitment. When you are on Aureus, you are not a ticket number in a support queue — you are a member of a very small, very deliberate network of engineers whose work has earned serious infrastructure.

We keep the network small by design. Not to be exclusive for the sake of it, but because the moment we scale past our ability to know every member, we become everything we set out not to be.

Not a product.

Aureus is not something you purchase from a pricing page. It is something you are considered for — and honoured to receive.

Not for everyone.

We deliberately limit our membership. Fewer engineers means more personal attention, better hardware per member, and a higher collective standard.

Not a VPS.

When your application lives on Aureus, it runs on dedicated bare metal inside a private cluster. Nothing is shared. Nothing is virtualised.

The Aureus Team

World-class DevOps,
included.

Aureus members do not just get servers. They get a team of seasoned DevOps engineers who treat your application as their own responsibility.

Architecture planning, deployment strategy, security reviews, scaling consultation — it is all part of being on Aureus. Because we believe the engineers we admit deserve infrastructure support that matches the quality of their work.

What members say

“I have never had an infrastructure team that actually understood what I was building. Aureus engineers reviewed my architecture before I even deployed. They caught a scaling issue I would have hit at 10,000 users.”

Architecture Review

Before your first deployment, our engineers sit with you. We review your architecture, identify bottlenecks before they exist, and design a system that will not embarrass you at scale.

Scaling Strategy

Not all growth looks the same. We build scaling plans tailored to your traffic patterns — horizontal, vertical, or geographic — so when your big moment arrives, your infrastructure is ready before you are.

Deployment Planning

Zero-downtime deployments, blue-green environments, canary releases. We design and implement your deployment pipeline so you ship with confidence, not prayers.

Security Hardening

Every application on our network is security-reviewed before launch. We audit dependencies, enforce least-privilege access, configure firewalls, and monitor for anomalies around the clock.

Observability Setup

Logs, metrics, traces — configured from day one. You get a full picture of what your application is doing at every moment, with alerts that wake the right person at the right time.

24/7 On-Call Support

When something breaks at 3am, you reach a real engineer who knows your stack. Not a tier-one ticket. Not a chatbot. Someone who has already read your architecture doc.

The Network

If it runs on Aureus,
it earned its place.

For the curious visitor arriving from a subdomain of aureus.cx — you are not looking at a random application on a shared server. You are looking at something that was reviewed, vetted, and admitted into a deliberately limited hosting environment.

Environments monitored continuously across production workloads in North America and Europe.

What it means to be hosted here

The developer who built the application you are using was personally vetted by our team. Their work was reviewed before it went live. Their infrastructure runs on dedicated bare metal inside a private cluster with no shared neighbours.

Not everyone who applies gets in. The applications on Aureus are here because they meet a standard — in engineering quality, in security posture, in the calibre of the developer behind them. When you use an application on Aureus, you are using software built by someone exceptional.

01

Member Vetting

Every developer admitted to Aureus is reviewed by our team. We look at their body of work, their engineering ethos, and whether they are the kind of person whose applications belong here.

02

Pre-Launch Security Audit

No application goes live on our network without a security review. OWASP top 10, dependency scanning, secrets detection, network exposure — we check everything before a single request hits your domain.

03

Architecture Standards

Applications on Aureus meet a minimum bar for architectural soundness. Not because we are gatekeeping creativity — but because poor architecture is a security and stability risk to the network.

04

Ongoing Compliance

Admission is not a one-time gate. We continuously monitor applications on our network for anomalies, policy violations, and degradation in quality. Standards that slip are addressed personally.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY

Teams that handed us the keys.

We were spending more time managing Kubernetes than building product. Aureus took over the entire ops layer in two weeks. We haven't thought about it since.

M

M.W.

CTO, Series B fintech, San Francisco

The migration from our self-managed Postgres cluster to Aureus was seamless. Zero downtime. They handled the failover, the connection pool tuning, everything. Our p95 query time dropped 40% the same week.

P

P.N.

Head of Engineering, B2B analytics platform, New York

We evaluated AWS EKS, Render, and Fly. Aureus was the only option that gave us dedicated hardware and an ops team that actually understood our stack. It's not even a close comparison.

D

D.S.

Co-founder & CEO, Developer tooling startup, Berlin

At 3am, when our biggest enterprise customer had a production incident, Aureus was already on it before we even opened the alert. That's what we're paying for.

L

L.O.

VP Engineering, Enterprise SaaS, London

We're running PostgreSQL, Redis, and five microservices on Aureus. The predictable billing alone was worth switching — our AWS bill had become impossible to forecast.

T

T.E.

Founder, Logistics software, Amsterdam

The security review before we went live caught three issues we'd missed. It wasn't just infrastructure — it felt like having a senior engineer on our team who'd done this a hundred times.
