Changelog
What's new
Product updates, infrastructure improvements, and new features — shipped and documented.
GPU Cluster Setup addon
Teams building AI/ML workloads can now add a GPU-backed node to their cluster. The GPU Cluster Setup addon covers bare metal provisioning, CUDA/ROCm driver configuration, NVIDIA device plugin integration for Kubernetes, MIG partitioning, first workload deployment, and a GPU monitoring dashboard. One-time fee of $2,000.
Staging Cluster addon for Cluster S and M
Dedicated staging environments are now available as an addon. Cluster S customers can add a staging node for $399/mo; Cluster M customers for $699/mo. Each staging cluster mirrors the production Kubernetes configuration with full network isolation, a separate database instance, and is managed by the Aureus team alongside production.
Penetration Testing addon
Customers can now request a penetration test of their cluster and deployed applications through the addons marketplace. The engagement covers external and internal network perimeter testing, OWASP Top 10 application testing, authentication review, and privilege escalation checks. Delivered as a written report with CVSS severity ratings and remediation guidance. $499 per engagement.
Developer API + API key management
Customers can now create scoped API keys from the dashboard and use them to manage clusters, apps, and tickets programmatically. Full documentation available at aureus.cx/docs.
Applications now support Nixpacks, Dockerfile, and Docker Compose build packs
When registering an application, you can now select the build pack — Nixpacks (default), Static, Dockerfile, or Docker Compose. Base directory, deployment notes, and app notes are also stored alongside each app.
2FA with TOTP and email OTP
Two-factor authentication is now available on all accounts. Enable TOTP (Google Authenticator, 1Password, etc.) or email OTP from your profile page. MFA is required for staff accounts.
Addons marketplace — Priority Support, APM, Uptime Monitoring, Log Management
Customers can now add premium addons to their plan directly from the dashboard. Available addons: Priority Support ($299/mo), APM & Metrics ($149/mo), Uptime Monitoring ($199/mo), and Log Management ($99/mo).
Annual billing with 2 months free
All cluster plans now offer monthly or annual billing. Annual subscribers save the equivalent of 2 months compared to monthly pricing. Toggle between billing cycles on the billing page.
Team management with invitation system
Invite team members to your Aureus account from the Team page. Invitees receive a branded invitation email and can set their password on acceptance. Each team member gets a unique support PIN for phone verification.
Cluster metrics — live animated graphs
The cluster detail page now shows real-time animated sparkline graphs for CPU, memory, and disk usage. Metrics are sampled every 2 seconds and rendered as area charts with colour-coded utilisation thresholds.
IP allowlisting and TLS 1.3 enforced by default
All newly provisioned clusters now have TLS 1.3 enforced at the network layer. Plaintext connections are rejected. IP allowlisting is enabled by default — access is restricted to addresses you explicitly add.
Cluster renaming and notes
Clusters can now be renamed and annotated with notes from the settings panel on the cluster detail page. Changes are reflected immediately across the dashboard.
Help center with searchable articles
A full help center is available at aureus.cx/help, organised into categories: Getting Started, Security, Infrastructure, and Billing. Articles include a helpful/not helpful feedback mechanism.
Support ticket system with staff replies
Customers can open support tickets from the DevOps section of the dashboard. Tickets support categories, priorities, and threaded staff replies. Email notifications are sent on all reply activity.
Dedicated NVMe storage on all clusters
All Aureus clusters now provision to dedicated NVMe SSDs local to the server. No EBS, no network-attached storage. Read/write latency is consistently sub-0.1 ms.
Stripe billing and subscription management
Billing is now fully automated through Stripe. Customers can subscribe, change plans, and download invoices from the billing page. Webhooks handle all subscription lifecycle events.
Platform launch — Cluster S, M, L
Aureus opens to invite-only customers. Three cluster tiers available: Cluster S (16 vCPU / 32 GB RAM / 500 GB NVMe), Cluster M (32 vCPU / 64 GB RAM / 2 TB NVMe), and Cluster L (64 vCPU / 256 GB RAM / 8 TB NVMe). All tiers include 30-day backup retention and 24/7 monitoring.
