Announcing Aureus Addons: APM, Uptime Monitoring, and Log Management

Why addons

From conversations with customers over the past year, a pattern emerged: teams were paying for three or four separate monitoring tools, stitching them together with custom alerting logic, and spending engineering time maintaining that glue. The tools were good individually, but the integration overhead was real.

We decided to offer a curated set of observability services that work natively with your Aureus cluster — no configuration required, directly integrated into your dashboard.

Application Performance Monitoring

APM gives you distributed tracing, transaction-level performance data, and error tracking across your application and database layer. Key features:

• Automatic slow query correlation — APM traces map directly to pg_stat_statements entries so you can see which application code path generated a slow query
• Error rate tracking with stack traces and deployment markers
• Performance baselines with anomaly detection — we alert when a transaction that normally takes 50ms starts taking 500ms, before users notice
• 14-day trace retention

APM is available at $299/month per cluster.

Uptime Monitoring

Uptime Monitoring runs checks from five global locations every 60 seconds against your application endpoints and database connection. You get:

• HTTP and TCP checks with configurable intervals
• Multi-region incident detection — we only page you when multiple regions confirm the issue, eliminating false positives from regional network blips
• Public status page at your subdomain (status.yourapp.com) that you can link to for customers
• Alert channels: email, Slack, PagerDuty, SMS

Uptime Monitoring is available at $199/month per cluster.

Log Management

Log Management aggregates application logs, PostgreSQL logs, and system events into a single queryable interface with structured search, retention controls, and alerting.

• PostgreSQL slow query logs, autovacuum logs, and connection logs centralized alongside application output
• Full-text and structured search with sub-second query time on 30 days of logs
• Log-based alerts — page on any pattern in your log stream
• 90-day cold storage archive with retrieval on demand

Log Management is available at $149/month per cluster.
